Welcome singers, parents and friends. I am currently relocating my studio to the Bellevue/Renton area and am not accepting new students at this time.

The wonderful thing about singing is that you can enjoy it for a lifetime. My goal is to help each student reach his or her  personal singing goal. It might be as a choir member in an organization like Olympia Youth Chorale, Children's Theatre Experience, a band,  Master Works or Olympia Choral Society; or for a church group like Westside Baptist or St. Michael. Some students just want to do better at karaoke while others want to have parts in the school musical or with one of the many musical theatre groups. Regardless of your goal, I can help you develop a reliable technique, improved breathing, resonance, diction and repertoire; and help you overcome nerves and stage fright.
Teaching Style

My teaching style is relaxed, patient and encouraging. Each lesson begins with vocal warmups and exercises followed by applying the singing skills gained in the exercises to a song. There is always time set aside for working on the musicianshp, diction, and performance challenges of each song.

Media in the Studio

Students are encouraged to record each lesson for review during the week.  Some use an I-pod, I-pad or bring an SD card.  At times a video recording is made so the student can observe his or her technique and progress.

Dealing With Nerves and Stage-Fright
Most performers experience some level of nerves; but for those who find themselves really uncomfortable in front of an audience please know that you can develop the skills to help make your performaing more enjoyable and confident.
